Experience

Tutoring Experience: Letters of recommendation can be provided My tutoring approach is very flexible and begins with a light assessment of the student, including random problems varying in difficulty. I do this in order to see how the student approaches the problem and to determine the specific problem, if can be identified. From here, I will either re-teach the material until the student understand it or show the student was he/she is doing wrong. Once the concepts are understood, I provide several problems to make sure that the material is fully understood. I try to make the material easy to understand by relating it to something they have an interest in. For tests, I will help make flashcards (if necessary)and short sheets that the student can review without me. I also test on the material and will leave when the student feels comfortable review on his/her own. I was a TA for my high school's pre-calculus class and offered tutoring after school for students in the class. There were several students in the class that I tutored after class and continued to do so in some of their other classes after the year was over. I continued to be a TA and math tutor for a year after, until I graduated and went to college. I also tutored a recently diagnosed ADD student for a year, before he graduated from high school, in all of his subjects that ranged from foreign languages, sciences, English, etc... He started the beginning of the year as a C average student but his last year, averaged at a B+. I not only helped in academic subjects but also became a person that he would turn to for advice in college and in social interactions. SAT score: 2300 SAT 2 (math): 750 SAT 2 (biology): 700 ACT score: 32 GMAT: 660 LSAT: 160 Graduated Summa Cum Laude in high school and college Dean's list 4 times Dean's Scholarship Full ride scholarship for MBA

Hobbies

When I am not tutoring or doing something regarding my MBA program, I really enjoy being outdoors or doing something active. I try to work out at least 4 times a day, this does not include going hiking on the weekends. Aside from exercise, I really enjoy reading. When I want to relax, I will usually watch tv or go to the movies with friends and family. Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of time to cook or bake anymore - although I still really enjoy doing this when I have free time or want to host a dinner at my place.
