In 2012 I graduated magna cum laude from a small liberal arts school in Boston with a double major in English and Women & Gender Studies and a minor in American Sign Langauge. I was a member of the college's honors program, the English honors program, and Sigma Tao Delta, the International English Honors Society. In 2015 I graduated in the top 15% from Law school in California.
Experience
I have over 11 years experience working with students of all ages in a multitude of subjects!! I mostly focus on English language, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, SAT prep, or just getting through all your English homework! I have taught several SAT/ACT classes through the organization Let's Get Ready where I was able to significantly improve student's scores and help them prepare college admissions essays. I've also taken and passed the C-SET subject tests for English which qualifies me to teach High School English courses. This past May I graduated from Law school and sat for the CA bar test in July. This past May I graduated in the top 15% from my Law School. I received CALI awards in Property II and Con Law II and worked as an Academic Fellow which entailed teaching weekly supplemental classes to 1st year law students, holding weekly office hours to help students one-on-one, and grade practice essay tests. I also served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor on my school's law review journal. In this position I worked with over 20 students to help them research, write, and edit their legal research papers. I also frequently do freelance writing and editing for local attorneys and business owners in the area. I am an extremely enthusiastic, fun, energetic, good-humored, and patient tutor and would love to help you or yours kids!
