Education
I graduated from Chapman University in 2015 with a degree in Educational Studies. I am currently enrolled in my master's (focus on elementary education) and multiple subject teaching credential program also at Chapman. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA, which is reflective of my educational rigor and participation in multiple on campus leadership jobs and activities.
Experience
This past fall, I tutored in an all-encompassing literacy program through my credential program. In this program I tutored a student who was not up to grade level in his reading, writing, and speaking skills. By the end of the program he was at grade level and had much higher confidence. One tactic I used to help him enjoy learning was that I created board games to hone in on specific word study needs in order to engage him in his learning. Additionally, I have taught students in the subjects of math, science, swimming, dance, and ukulele. I am a tutor because it is my passion to help students develop more confidence and passion for their learning experiences. I do all of this with a flexible, supportive, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
